Cold Cover Letters require more attention and skill than warm cover letters. You have to delicately balance your introduction with a compelling reason as to why you are an outstanding future employee. If your cover letter looks and reads like a form letter you have wasted your time and the readers time as all of your career documentation will surely be thrown away. Do not confuse cold cover letters with generic form letters that will be a waste of time. If you are unable or unwilling to invest 5 minutes of time for each job you apply to, you will probably be sending out cover letters and resumes for a long time.
